Wireless broadband for Vista Komanwel?

As you know Nasioncom has stopped broadband service in Vista Komanwel, therefore to have 99% broadband uptime in Vista Komanwel, you need another broadband provider. A few days ago, a salesperson from Maxis told me Maxis wireless broadband is available in Vista Komanwel unofficially. So, if you have wireless broadband account from Maxis or Celcom, let us know which wireless broadband provider can be used in which area(s) in Vista Komanwel, e.g. block C2, 8th floor for Maxis. You can leave the information in the comment section. Thanks.

topcompetence, in 05 & 06, I was told by Jaring counter staff in TPM that Vista Komanwel is not covered. Do you know which blocks are covered?

I just moved in last monday to C2. Tried getting a broadband service however, after the maxis broadband sales person did a test yesterday. The speed is less than 200kbps at Block C. It has something to do with heights. He said, that maxis doesnt recommend wireless broadband if you're living on 5th floor above. Since I'm on the 16th.. thats that then.

Thanks salwani for the feedback. One of the Maxis customer services officers told me the same story but salespersons want me to sign up :(

Guys,

I'm using maxis broadband C block ... i'm on lower level than 5 ... can't get more than 180kb/s based on speedtest. Call Maxis and the 2nd level technical crew said that the 3.6mb/s coverage is only at the LRT station.

I was thinking of either canceling or down grading.

Thanks Nick for the feedback. Based on my understanding of Malaysia international links, 3.6Mbps is only possible for "intranet", e.g. transfer speed between your PC and server hosted in Malaysia.
